02 — APPROACH
Strategic Foundation
Brand Research
I began by analyzing PlayStation's existing visual language and asset library. To effectively represent both the brand and the Beta Program, I identified key brand motifs and design elements that would ground my new work in PlayStation's established identity while allowing for creative exploration.

Collaborative Ideation
Working alongside my mentor, I developed initial concepts presented through detailed moodboards. This collaborative process taught me effective client presentation techniques while allowing me to refine creative direction based on experienced feedback and industry best practices.

03 — DESIGN ITERATIONS
The Challenge
Through multiple rounds of revisions, both my mentor and I created competing designs. This process taught me how to incorporate feedback while maintaining design vision and how to articulate design decisions effectively to stakeholders.
Round 1: Style Exploration
Initial explorations focused on different visual styles, color palettes, and approaches to representing various beta types while staying generic enough to cover all scenarios.

Round 2: Refinement
Based on client feedback, this round narrowed to a refined color palette and visual direction featuring line art with subtle glows to stay consistent with current key art aesthetics.

Round 3: Final Direction
The final concept combines the polished look of highly refined key art with the client's preference for a line art-focused aesthetic, creating a cohesive design language.

04 — OUTCOME
Results & Impact
Client Decision
The client selected all three of my final designs over alternative concepts, validating the strategic approach and visual execution developed throughout the project.

05 — REFLECTION
Key Learnings
05 — REFLECTION
Key Learnings
This project was instrumental in developing my approach to strategic design within established brand systems. Working alongside an experienced mentor while competing for client selection pushed me to think critically about every design decision and articulate my rationale clearly. I learned that successful brand design isn't just about visual appeal—it's about understanding brand DNA, creating cohesive systems, and effectively communicating design strategy. Having all three designs selected validated not only my execution, but my ability to work strategically within brand constraints while bringing fresh creative perspective.
